my forever friend

a little over a year ago i received an email
inviting me to an all expenses paid weekend~
a day at the spa, a photography workshop, fabulous dining,
two evenings of fellowship & then worship together that final morning.

i emailed the hostess & asked if i had accidentally been sent an invite meant for someone else.
while i had visited her blog a few times, we had never met.
nor had i met anyone else that had been invited.
we weren't facebook friends, i didn't have her cell number, nothing.
talk about an extended blind date!
(well, you know what i mean)

she reassured me that i was the correct "paige"....
( she had hyperlinked my blog & another paige's blog on her own
....hence the thought that there might be some confusion).

i tell all about that amazing weekend right here.

little did i know this time last year,
was that the lord was opening the door to what would become a fantastic friendship.

ashley & i became fast friends.
i love that girl.
she is a wise entrepreneur, a super wife, a fabulous mama, & so much more.
she has been blessed with much
& generous with even more.

she is funky and humble and real and fun
and she loves the lord.

i've been back to birmingham for a few more visits,
we headed to rosemary beach together,
& this past weekend she came to our home!
now my entire family loves her too!!

just affirmation that God can knit two hearts together
& form a forever friendship
that began by reading each others blogs!

I think I started reading your blog right about that time and remember being floored by this amazing invitation. I never imagined an "online friend" could become a beloved real life friend, but now I get it! I've got a few I'd love to meet in person...like YOU!!!

You are one blessesd and loved lady, Paige!

So happy for y'all! I am glad you had such an awesome weekend and that you both have found a life long friend in each other. I don't personally know either of you but I think you both rock and I feel I know you in this little place called blog land. Isn't it awesome that even our Lord uses the cyber world for His purpose to bring friends together in His name.

I have to agree with you there. I have 2 or 3 blog friends--you being one-that I feel an attachment to. I have never met any of you but I feel a connection. Another is in Wilmington, NC, she does wall sayings and her heart near to the heart of God. I love it. She even donated a Wall Saying for my preschools Moments for Mom next week and she has never been there but just knows me through her blog and fb.

In January, I did an 11 day facebook fast asking God for the unexplainable--He granted my prayer for that moment and continues to answer them till now. How did I know this year would go this way? I digress, during that time I started reading blogs for that attachment from the outside world and encouragement that I seem to need. I found you through fb and a friend that I have known for years but I found blog after blog talking of God and what He has done in my friends lives. I love God and what He is doing for all of us.
