allow me to introduce madelyn rose~

isn't she scrumptious?

i've had the privilege of photographing liz's wedding

maternity session

& now sweet baby madelyn's newborn shots.

liz is wonderful to work with 

& allows me all the creative freedom my heart could desire.

every once in a while i'll invision a shot in my mind's eye

playing it over & over prior to the session.

& 

sometimes

almost in a magical sense

the shot comes to fruition....

a special family...

 

one of the things i loved about growing up

was that my parents loved on & mentored younger couples.

they hosted community/home groups for college kids too

i remember thinking that was so cool to have

cool college age people in our home.

david & mindy were one one of the couples

that was very special to my parents.

i remember thinking they were the kindest and warmest couple.

their character stood out to me 

when i was a teenager and impressionable young adult.

& now, 20+ years later 

i had the privilege of photographing their beautiful family.

the above picture was extra special to me.

david and mindy are amazing parents

humble, loving, loyal

& have clearly raised some incredible kids.

seeing how sweet they relate to their children

seriously

had me in tears.

i realize that it may be in poor professional taste

to claim a certain session as a favorite

but with a gorgeous pregnant mommy

& her precious family,

how could i not?

unless i totally missed it, maternity sessions weren't all the rage,

like they are now,

when i was pregnant with my girls.

what i would give for a session like this.

liz & darren's wedding.

it's a huge honor to capture these images just before baby

madeline rose

makes her debut.

liz is dan's administrative assistant & precious friend too.

there's a few knudsen girls that can't wait for baby girl

to arrive!
