a recipe & treats from a friend

image 28.365

wanted to share my favorite granola recipe
i can't remember where i found it,
but if it's yours , please let me know ...

combine:
2 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 c almonds ( whole or sliced would work great)
1c pecan halves ( i chopped mine )
1 c brown sugar
1/4 c sunflower seeds

whisk & drizzle over combined ingredients:
1/4 tsp salt
1 stick melted butter
1/4 c honey
1 Tbl vanilla extract
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

line baking sheet with parchment paper
& bake at 300
for 40 minutes
stirring a couple of times

little bit loves to add chocolate chips to hers before mixing in with yogurt :)

also wanted to give a shout out to my new friend Kat.
she showed up monday night, mere moments after my little breakdown,
with treats for our family
including all the fixings for icecream sandwiches & rootbeer floats.
thank you friend
what a huge blessing!!

i hired kat a few weeks ago to whip up a few dishmats for me.
i chose some fabrics from amy butler's new release
& am so pleased with the final result.
thank you again friend!

I'm going to try it. I love granola - the Fresh Market has it fresh weekly but making my own would be awesome. Thanks for sharing. :) p.x. I love your white washed frames - where did you get them - have seen them in several of your post. Thanks for the info. Be blessed.

Looks like a super yummy recipe that I will definitly try! I am also super impressed with Kat's sewing skills. Very cute dish towels! So glad everything is getting takien care of with the septic tank. I'm sorry though that is going to cost you some mega bucks to fix.

The dish mats are sooooo pretty. I may have to get out the sewing machine soon.

looks just like the recipe I use...except I use honey -
it's proven if you eat local honey that your allergies will be less! isn't that neat?
