real housewife? you bet...

madison came home from school yesterday
&  realized i was still sporting the same yoga pants & tshirt
that i had been wearing when she left 8 hours earlier.
she assumed i had been home all day.
she then asked....don't you get bored staying home mom?
freezing cold. rainy day. quiet home. pandora. coffee. completed thoughts.
photo editing. journaling. reading. running. sweet doggy. candles.
phone chats with kasey, kristin & ashley
ummmm.....
doubtful

in fact my stay at home in yoga pants life is so exciting
i will fill you in on the latest~

1.yesterday morning found that my car had been ransacked
by an obsessive compulsive wanna be thief.
so
i jumped in the suburban & looked over at emi already seated in the passenger side
& asked her why all my stuff was laid out on my seat.
then i quickly realized,
OH MY GOSH!
someone broke into my car!!

well, technically they didn't need to break in
because due to miscommunication between family members
my car was actually left unlocked.
so my ocd would-be thief
opened up all the compartments
all my makeup bags, cd holder, sun glass holder, etc
& laid it all out neatly on my seat.
seriously ya'll.
neatly on my seat.
& guess what~
they took nothing.
not any of my 50 cd's ( guess they didn't appreciate my taste in music)
not my Chanel lipstick
not my designer sunglasses.
nothing.
if i'da had my camera you know i would have done the right thing
by all you fellow bloggers & photographed the evidence.
but we had to roll.
then i was all like ewwww....somebody went through my stuff
& oh dear....they really could have tore up my car

i'm not as shook up as i should be
but i am praying that it was just some kid looking for cash
which i had none of
no surprise there
& that i feel blessed that it wasn't any worse.

2. sunday it was insanely gorgeous.
i'm talking 68 degrees, sunny & not a cloud in the sky.
i was able to run my distance run in what felt like springtime in atlanta.
dan & i headed out later that evening for our date night
dined alfresco, went to our fave coffee shop & then onto the book store.
 perfect date!

3.  the 365 project- well instead of taking one image a day
i'm taking loads & loads.
must.get.a.grip.
hence the random shots such as these:

4.my girlfriend gave me Moroccan oil for christmas
& i love it.
supposed to be for my hair
but since i have dry skin i actually use it on my face.
yes ma'am , applying oil to my face
thankyouverymuch

5.  my current read is a winner!

goodness sakes,
between photographing hard boiled eggs
& rubbing oil on my face
my life is anything but boring

Love it that you and your man go on dates! I love that!

Lastly, I opened my office drawer this morning only to have little sticky notes revealed to which I went huh...what is that?...sweetness...sticky notes from years ago from each of your girls when they came to visit. Love them!

I don't know what it is about this post, but I love it! You're so good at pulling back the curtain and giving us a peek at real life...in a way that's enjoyable and refreshing!

Your idea of a perfect date night is very similar to mine. My husband proposed to me in a book store (post latte)! :)

The ocd theif would freak me out! I had someone get into my car one day, too, looking for money and took nothing. It wasn't an ocd theif though. They also took my backpack (i was going to college at the time) and carried it to right outside the woods! My checkbook and my ipod was in the front pocket. They took nothing but some loose change and not even all of it! It was so creepy!!!

Paige, your stay at home life sounds all kinds of awesome. I spend most days in my gym gear too. Love it. That is super freaky about the OCD thief... maybe they never steal anything, but rather just break into people's cars and organize their stuff.

Ok, that is mightly bizarre that they would lay all your things out, but not take anything. Hmmmm...interesting.

And Moroccan Oil, you say...I *LOVE* it! I use it every single day! Doesn't it smell fantastic? It tames my wild mane, and that is no easy task!

I have a giveaway going on, girlie! $100 in Target gift cards are up for grabs! Stop by!

loved your day.

hate that someone went through your stuff....violation!!!!

love your date night outfit.

love that you take pictures of hard boiled eggs.

love the pictures of your youngest with the umbrella....she's so photogenic. is that how you spell that?

thanks for the peep into your day...I OFTEN have my black yoga pants on when my husband returns in the afternoons...usually, I'm showered...but why, WHY would I ever get dressed up on the days that I don't leave home?

i can't wait to try my moroccan oil on my face!!! thx for the tip girlfriend! now i can just sit around with oil on my face, eat chocolate (raw, organic chocolate, or course), and watch my soaps. what a life us 'stay at home moms' have!

Glad nothing was stolen.

Paige I am an esthetician, I do not know about the oul you are using on your face, but I do worry it might be pore clogging (again, I don't know, I haven't checked the ingredients) but I will tell you that organic jojoba oil IS WONDERFUL for the skin. I don't believe there is a better oil available. You can find it in any health food store, very is inexpensive and you only need a drop.

It is the oil MOST like the oil in our own skin in structure, so it is highly compatible. It will not clog your pores and it hydrates wonderfully. Jojoba oil is one of the best skin care products out there, in my opinion. Use it for hydrating and soothing dry skin (excellent for those with rosacea) and it is even wonderful for balancing oily skin, even acne. It doesn't cause skin to break out.

Nope, I don't sell it and am not affiliated with any manufacturer in anyway (we don't even use it in the spa I work in) . . .I just think it is excellent, and always tout its wonderful properties to anyone I have half a clue might be interested!:-)

There is so much to do at home. I've been applying for part-time jobs but really I do not know how I will do it all. I've been a full time homemaker for 22 yrs. to four children and hubby. It's still full-time work but since my hub was laid off work this year I need to try and find a job too. I live in yoga pants...

and I like that your hubby wears jeans with holes...mine does too!

You are very lucky about the car break in. Our honda was stolen out of our drive way a week ago...we got it back. The 18 yr. old thief was arrested...he drove it thru two backyards. The damage is not severe...we are lucky.

Love it! So funny to me, the idea of being a bored housewife. I would love to be bored some time! Super Creepy about someone being in your care bit thank goodness there was nothing of true value in there. Aside from your lipstick.

Paige, You rock the real housewife life! Again, I love reading your posts. Always makes me smile and say "Amen Sister!" and "You Go Girl!" I am reading Whistling Dixie in a Nor'easter too. My mom gave it to me for my birthday last March and I am just now getting to it. I love it! You have another rockin' day as a Super Cool Housewife, my friend. I'll be right there with you!

isn't it amazing that the day just flies by when phone calls are being made with girlfriends!! too bad about your car. it happened to me one. felt so violated!

I remember my older sister asking me what I do with my time all day. I had 4 children at the time, she had none and I worked part time in the ER as well as taught Sunday School every week. She said I must have a lot of free time on my hands. I was offended and angry, so I decided to document my entire day for a week and send it to her and kindly wrote on the last page:
"This is what I do with my time."
She never asked me the same question again.

So sorry you were violated, it is a scary feeling, glad nothing was taken, what a nice little thief! We have moved this week and I am behind on my blogging, miss your posts and need to catch up! You are like a cozy little part of my day, feels like home when I stop by here! Great photos! You guys look so adorable on your date! Love Dan's ripped jeans! I love keeping my home as well, lots of nesting going on here!

I am SO glad to hear that nothing more happened with your car and that you are safe. Your days don't sound boring at all...they sound like they are full of joy. You are where you are supposed to be. My hubby and I have a date tonight and I couldn't be more excited!!!!

What a fun post - a day in yoga pants. So sorry about the car break in however. I'm glad they didn't take anything, but it's still unnerving, huh?

You are very lucky they didn't take anything from your car but still how yucky they went through your things :(
I think your real housewife life sounds like fun! I can never understand how many people say being a stay at home mom would be so boring. It is far from boring that is for sure :)
