let them eat cupcakes

yesterday we had a fabulous time celebrating madison!

being the little baking goddess that she is,
i felt a little intimidated to serve her something sweet & pretty for her birthday.
so, i turned to the atlanta cupcake factory.

they're located just off ponce in the virginia highlands area,
one of our family favorites for shopping & dining.

i chose the chocolate salted caramel
red velvet,
lemon,
sugar cookie & vanilla,
chocolate with vanilla,
& the  vanilla with salted caramel frosting.
i'm not a huge sweets eater
but that vanilla with salted caramel frosting
was beyond scrumptious!!
here's a quick peek into their charming little shop~

wished madison had been with me,
she would have flipped seeing none other than her
dream car parked out front...
confirmation of a good choice!

i'll be back tomorrow to share about the rest of the evening.
but for now,
i'll leave you with a little cupcake bliss ....

mmmmmmmm! Those look delish! I opted for cupcakes too from our one of our local cupcakeries. I also made a cake which was actually my first attempt (sad to say) and it turned out pretty good! I'm so glad y'all had such a sweet celebration of your sweet 16 year old! Thanks for sharing your blessings with us!

My mouth is watering! Cupcakes are always a good idea ... pure sweet joy in just the right amount (so as not to end up on my hiney!). Such a lovely shop as well. Can't wait to hear more about your celebration of all things Madison!

Oh...soooo fun! In OKC we have a fun cupcake shop called Cuppies & Joe...they have a cupcake called the Boom Boom Pow...it's a chocolate cupcake with a ring of Chocolate Buttercream icing on the edge and the middle is filled in with Carmel & Sea Salt....DE-LISH!!!

Can't wait to see how the rest of Miss Madison's B-Day Celebration went! :-)

Thanks for leaving me with the cupcakes. I'm not a cake fan but for some reason I am a sucker for a good cupcake...the lemon sound divine! I was wondering who was going to cook for the cook :)

Cute place! My oh my - it was "Homemade Cereal Bars" pic that made me do a doubletake - Rice Krispy treats. UGH - never can turn them away.
