this is madison

 my almost 16 year old
who makes a fashion statement
on a frigid monday morning
when we're running out for bagels.

she bakes
she bakes from scratch
& she bakes wonderful treats for our family.

she has painted nails
every day.

her favorite author is Jane Austen
having read Pride and Prejudice
57 times
& is currently reading
Northanger Abbey.

lover of all things Juicy

not a fan of Uggs or Hunters

tech savy
& saver of my last computer issue

babysitter extraordinaire

passionate fan of Glee & Bones

Harry Potter extremist

cries easily

all A's

nicknamed 'little bird' at birth
because she was only 6 pounds
& had the tiniest little features

hopes to soon be driving a Volkswagen Bug
preferably convertible

still keeper of a messy room

i mentioned that i found a perfect gift from janet hill studio
for one of my girls.
i purchased

with her love for period fashion
& Jane, i felt it would be a perfect gift
one more thing~
when i posted these images on facebook
i had a couple inquiries regarding her ring.
all three of my teenage daughters wear a  purity ring.
the rings symbolize their commitment to remain pure until marriage.
each ring is different
each represents their personal style.
i wish i had zoomed on madi's ring
as it is stunning
a large flat salt water pearl
with small diamonds surrounding
set in silver.

her fabulous yellow jacket was a Christmas score!

This girl has some serious fashion sense and a keen love of great classic fiction! Such a beautiful young lady! Love that print you found for her.
Paige, I am guessing you are on a similar quest as me to post a pic and post each day of the year. I am actually surprised that I have had so many topics to cover thus far without picking my brain too much. I simply LOVE that your girls have purity rings. This is such a strong reminder to them to wait until marriage. My girls are 5 and 3 so when it is time I will give them each a purity ring as well. How old were each of your girls when they received their rings? Have a fabulous day Miss Paige! See you tomorrow ;-)!

She is stunning. I love the coat on her. The color is perfect for her. Love the ring too. And the Austen print you gave her is one of my faves too. I adore Janet Hill's paintings. I don't think there is one I wouldn't love to own.

I love that your girls let you take their picture. I'm sure they're not always in the mood, but from the smiles on their faces, it appears that they are good at helping you further your craft!

Happy weekend!

You left out "has eyes so blue you can see through them". They remind me of Elizabeth Taylor's eyes... Always notice them when I look at your photos.

Wondering where the coat came from?

I am always stunned by her eyes and her smile. I am always stunned by the fashion sense of each one of you!

A blog that I was looking at for the first time today makes me think of your blog (that I have ben reading for a year or more)the photography is of similar style and beauty. I am sure the interior of the cottage will speak to you, even though it is more colorful than your home.

It is called the meadowbrook blog, about the conversion of an old farmhouse and the family who lives there. I found it via Southern Hospitality blog.

Hi Paige!
I only stop by every now and again as I don't have much time to devote to blog reading although I would love to. I stumbled upon your blog about a year ago from someone else's, can't remember whose.
You have such a beautiful family inside and out.
I really must know where the brown boots are from, I have similar Steve Madden's in black. Can't find brown anywhere!
Thanks!

Beautiful daughter, beautiful pictures. She sounds just precious! While I was reading this post, the thought came to mind "I wonder which picture Paige purchased for one of her girls?!?!", then there it was!!! Sooo fun and cute. I bet she loved it.
Her purity ring looks gorgeous. You should take a pic of all their hands with their rings on...I bet they're all beautiful. I have one...I got mine at James Avery. It says "I am my beloved's and he is mine" in Hebrew.
