merry & bright, a winner & some randomness

i hope each of you is having a wonderful time this week being with your loved ones.
perhaps you're still shopping
& wrapping gifts.
or maybe you are committed to life in the kitchen for the next few days.
we headed over to the library today....that's what you do when it's 3 days before Christmas
& you're out of money!

i made a little snack.
pop 4-5 bags of light butter popcorn & remove all the kernels
melt one vanilla bark
& pour over
add sprinkles and cinnamon candies...or whatever your heart desires.

in case you missed it...
the much loved "O Holy Night Print"
(my favorite carol)
that Lindsay created for Holly Mathis
is available over at Jones Design Company for download!

sweet brinkley...
bless his heart. he's had a doozy of a month.
after this episode, he had to spend several weeks healing before he could even exercise.
i've taken him out for a run a few times
but i'm super nervous
& we can't go on our former route as that's where the mean dog lives
&
i now run with a large stick...just in case.
well, he woke today with a huge rash all on his tummy & back thigh
& is on antiobiotics again for an infection.
he had a great oatmeal bath at the vet today & a fancy merry christmas bandana on his neck
to help with his merry disposition...

a sweet friend sent me a "light 'em up" surprise!!
so so sweet!!

my most recent run to publix
was for 2 items
each of equal importance
& yes
what can i say, i choose my bottles of wine purely based on their name
or their pretty bottle.
since i'm into all things gold & shiny this year~

we've had several dreary wet & rainy days
so i opted to bring pop pop's caddy filled with grammy's ornaments
back inside. i'm serious ya'll, i love the happiness these fun ornaments bring!

thank you everyone for rallying around Peace of Thread
& giving them some love.
monday morning savannah actually went over to the community where many of the refugees
are living. she babysat while the seamstresses were treated.
above is an image of a newborn baby from one of the seamstresses!

&
.....congratulations!!
i will contact Peace of Thread & let them know
you have won!!

THANK YOU, Paige!

What an honor to win such a beautiful prize from Peace of Thread. This organization represents such HOPE, and the bag will serve as a constant reminder that God sees us.

Blessings to you this Christmas. Thanks for letting us all have a glimpse into your life day after day. You are an encouragement - a gift - to many. xoxo

Merry Christmas Paige. I pray you and your precious family enjoy every single second of the holidays. You have brought me so many blessings and things to think about this year. I am so thankful to have "happened" upon your blog this year, and pray that one day we meet somewhere here in the ATL :0) Much much love.

Hi Paige! I hope you are being blessed with family all around you this Christmas season. I just finished watching your video of you speaking your story and I want you to know how you have blessed my heart so. It is so evident in your countenance and spirit that Jesus lives in you and the hope you give to others, just by being Y♥U, is amazing!

Thank you for being Y♥U!
♥Lee Ann

Merry Christmas, my dear friend!

Poor Brinkley, what a time that poor sweet has had. I love his green christmas scarf! :)

I am making the popcorn tomorrow, I know I won't be able to stay out of it!

Take care!

I love the picture of your dog sleeping on the floor. I wish I had a dog like him. He looks so sweet and behaved. Haha! I can look at his picture all day and not get tired of him! He's so adorable!

My Pom bag arrived today, and it's more fabulous than I even imagined. It's sophisticated enough that I'm going to carry it to work, but gentle and organic enough that I won't feel stiff and (too) professional! :)

Thank you, thank you!
