troopers

the other day i drug the girls out of bed early
& said, "hey, ya'll wanna ride down town while i scope out some morning lighting
for an upcoming shoot?"
i had shot several sessions there during sunset but i wanted to see
how everything looked with the lighting flipped.
& by drug out of bed, i mean like ..."let's head out in 10 minutes" kinda drug out of bed.
so one of my girls asked to not be photographed.
not mentioning any names
but "she" may only be in one.
(just didn't want to look like i was playing favorites. may it never be)

so they jump through all my little hoops
when i say, go stand there...and now there...

( we actually look very touristy don't we?
mind you. i'm checking lighting not practicing posing & composition)

most all of these are straight out of the camera.
i edited 3-4 but i'll be honest
i'm drowning in a sea of my own photos.
photography is such a passion & hobby of mine
& now a means of income
but my own personal photo files are taking over my life.

i love to blog in real time but am finding that mighty hard...
but that's a story for another day.

obviously a whole lotta horsin' around & blooper worthy moments
were made too

the girls know i'm a worry wart & afraid of heights
so they thought they were being all cute & sassy sitting high above the water on these pillars
when i came around the corner.
har har.

we ended up making friends with this little fella.
he was apologizing that the water fountains weren't working
& that he used to keys for them all but not "anymore"...
he was mumbly but very sweet.
he asked me to take his photo & then proceeded to give me a very huggy embrace.
sweet fella. think maybe he was homeless
or atleast had a few sips bright & early.
he kinda followed us around for a while and chatted then wandered off...
sweet happy guy.

i love our city & this view of the skyline
is so fun. almost doesn't look real, does it?

dare devil up on about a 9 foot high wall.
i woulda made a terrible boy mom.

thanks guys for always being troopers!
&
just in case you wonder if they always want to take pictures.
here's your proof ...

remember this beautiful family from one of my fall sessions?
well i had the privilege of photographing their adorable
1 year old cousins this spring.

i absolutely love capturing families interacting,
especially with little ones

thank you skeeters family for the privilege of photographing your
beautiful family!

(&mommy, i love this image so much,
it's now on one of my business cards)
