How great, Paige!

Well as a young college student, I don't really have a family to cook for.. But I have a hungry boyfriend.. Does that count?!

He loves it when I make cous cous with chicken/peas/grape tomatoes/feta cheese (for me). I think I am a bit better at baking (Boyfriend has a major sweet tooth!) such as oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, brownies, etc.

Maybe a lovely peace such as this would help me try out some new meals :)

I have a family rich in nicknames and, well, adding drama to about everything we do . . . . When my sister and I were in our early teens and spending the night at our Nana and PapPap's, one of us was nauseaus (for what reason I can't remember), and my dear Nana, always one to remedy a "situation" with food, offered up a casserole she had made earlier that day, assuring that it was easy on the stomach and would cure the nausea. And, of course, it was as good as any prescription medicine.

To this day, we have callled it "Nana's Easy-Settlin' No-More-Quesy Chicken Noodle Casserole." I've shared the recipe with many, and always my recipe card bears this as the name.

And I always think of my Nana and PapPap whenever I share the recipe or make it for my own family.

We found this delicious olive bread at Farmers Market, with big, plump Kalamata olives throughout. On a camping trip with my husband and two toddlers, we realized we had run out of most of our breakfast supplies, except for enough to make French toast with the olive bread. It seemed so strange to put maple syrup on olives, but it came out amazingly and surprisingly delicious (and no, I wasn't pregnant)! It is now a family Sunday favorite, and it will always instill the wonderful family memories of camping, togetherness, and culinary adventure! :-)
