random sunday morning thoughts

1.my dog is shedding.
like insanely shedding.
good thing for me that i love my golden like crazy
& my dark floors like crazy.
i remind myself of this as i swiffer the floor
multiple
times per day.

2. my hubby has lost almost 20 pounds
in the last few months
by eating less
& exercising more.
funny how that works. huh

3. i got my hair cut yesterday.
what a luxury.
i'm sure most women get a trim or atleast a touch up every 6 weeks
or so
maybe?

well, i never feel i'm worth ponying up $50+ for a cut.
i mean it's in a ponytail most of the time.
(i shamefully admit that)
so i go for a professional cut
maybe once a year & have one of my girls trim it the rest of the time.
cue the crickets.
but i've found this precious girl
who i think does a great job
& she's half of what i pay.
in fact for caroline, whose cuts run $50
she's $13.
hallelujah.

 4. i'm loving driving around in mgk's car.
she's sharing.
she's awesome like that.

5. savannah is home from Harry Potter world.
i'm so proud of she & bailey
because they took hundreds of photos.
no lie.
& i really want to go there myself
& re-read all the books
again.
 6. emi comes home on thursday!!!!!
not three weeks from thursday
not thursday after next
not this thursday but the next
but
thursday.
as in 4 sleeps.
i can hardly stand it.
i have slept with my phone beside me for these last three weeks.
i've dreamed about her.
i've washed her sheets & dusted her room.
i've picked up her new silver glitter toms as requested
& several outfits for the beach.
and
i've scheduled her appointment at our local orthopedist

7. did i mention she's coming home on thursday?

Way to go for your hunny, that is really awesome!

wow, $50 for a haircut, i believe I would probably cut my own too. I pay 17 for a haircut here and that is high for around here.

i can't wait to hear how emi's trip was, i bet she is counting the sleeps until she gets home too! (so cute, we do that here too when we are counting down days!)

i also can't wait to see more pictures of Savannah's trip, how fun! :)

    take care! Jodi
P.S. we got our yellow lab yesterday, she is so cute, i will have to send you a picture. Beka named her Bailey! :)

  8. My mutt sheds like crazy during the summer months...I tell my husband with all that hair I could stuff several pillows! It drives me crazy, vacumming and swiffering (is that a word) but I love my hardwoods and I love my dog.

Hope the 4 "sleeps" pass quickly until your baby gets home!

  9. ...oh, I'm guilty of spending $$ every 4-6 weeks on hair maintenance...gotta keep those grays at bay and it does feel good whenever someone stops me and says "who cuts your hair?"

  10. These are going to be four long days my friend, but what a glorious reunion it will be.
Okay...that is so not right. I can eat less and exercise more and for some unknown phenominon, I weigh more. I swear it's the truth.
I want to drive MGKs new car too, I think y'all should take a road trip to my place.

  21. yeah for mamma to have her baby back home again. im horrible at letting my kids go too far.. they are 23,21 and 14. un-apologetically.
as far as my hair goes i am not good at keeping up a style either. luckily for my my 21 y/o does hair and is very good at it. she is trying to get me to start low lighting my hair to cover the few grays i have in my sandy brown hair but i dont like the whole maintenance of it. never have. long simple style. un apologetically..lol
