tiny dancer, the sequel

minus only two years, we've always had a dancer in the house.
madison began when she was around 4.
she was my tiny dancer.
loving all things ballet.
someone asked me the other night how many recitals we've been to & i had to stop and try to count.
probably 11 years of recitals, but madison also danced several years with the
Atlanta Ballet and performed in their Nutcracker.
she stopped a couple years ago
& this past fall, caroline picked it up.

caroline spends all day, every day
stretching and dancing. she's quite the natural.
this week she had her recital for ballet, tap and jazz.
we're so happy that besides tumbling she also loves dancing.
here's a few pics from that night
( we also had emi's bff katelyn with us too)
those girls and all their "high" shoes!

(my tiny dancer all grown up)

me & one of my best girlfriends & mama of state champion
baseball stud i share earlier this week.

Alice was played by one of madi's good friends, Evan.
she's an amazing dancer & will be with the Rockettes, again, this summer.
i've added several images of her too.
a few of the dance instructors told caroline she reminded them of evan when she was younger.
quite the compliment :)

  1. Such a beautiful dancer! Her grace is apparent. Even though she is much younger, it is Kate's passion too. She dances all day long. She has had 4 recitals and she is not even 6 yet!

  4. how very beautiful! for 10 years we had seats in the audience of the nutcracker, watching our girl. there was a time during swan lake, the rain saturated the stage, and the stage was set a blaze with fire, to dry it out, so the ballet dancers could dance safely. such great memories, watching our daughter.

i adore these photos. love to you and your family.
    happy weekend.

  5. She seems to have perfect form which is amazing for one so young. I love it when Ava's in ballet and dance too. We took this year off because it's so expensive but I'm hoping next year again. (She's kind of pushing for gymnastics though... not the same! LOL) Have a lovely weekend my friend.

  6. Oh my word! Lil' Bit looks like a natural and I'm very happy to see her in flat shoes. Yes, Emi and Madison Grace will have some great looking gams, but man alive.....do you know a good podiatrist? All of this just represents a feeling of resentment and envy because I can't walk in heels to save my life.
I love all the fun costumes. She looked like she was really enjoying it.
Love the goslings too, so cute.

  9. Love this post! She is radiant!
My oldest daughter just had her last recital. She started at age 3 and danced all the way through college. Now at 22 she's starting grad school and just won't have time to dance. It's a passion your daughter seems to have. I hope you'll enjoy many more recitals.

  12. Your photos brought back good memories. My daughter danced from 2 until 12 when she transferred her efforts to competitive surfing. Now it is marathon running.
I loved going to the recitals year after year and watching the girls grow up.

  13. Your girls always look so adorable Paige. I love their style. Two of my three girls danced from the time they were tiny as well. I have lost count of the recitals, dance competitions and cheer competitions. Probably a good thing. I made my last dance tuition payment this month as my youngest dancer is heading to college in the fall. It was a bittersweet moment.
Take it all in, it goes so fast.

    P.S. As always amazing pictures!

  16. the girls are beautiful...do you ever get tired of me saying that? I feel like I say every time you post pictures because they are just so beautiful...inside and out, it seems. :)

Lydia is 5 and starts ballet this coming fall...she can hardly wait! So, did you start your girls in a small type dance company or have you always been with Atlanta Ballet? Help a sister out....I'm new at this girly stuff after two boys!

  19. Wow. That's some dancer you have there. I love the lines in all her movements. You probably can't catch her without her toes pointed and her hands just so. Lovely.
