i'm betting this post will result in blogger probation for me
because i've included 2,358 images.
& i even used some restraint.
sorry.
it was just such a great day. a beautiful day.
at a museum. at a museum that allowed photographs.
so that's my defense.
little bit turned 11 last month & asked to go to The High Museum of Art.
since we completely flew through the younger years with not one single chuckie cheese request
a day trip to the museum was a definite resounding amen!
my sweet friend danielle put 4 tickets in the mail
(thank you precious friend)
so we snatched up her bestie & had a wonderful day.
savannah was in class & emi was at the beach,
so dan & i and madison enjoyed the day with them.
lucky us!
we started out with lunch on the patio at Fellini's in Buckhead,
one of our family favorites.
next door was Cacao
a must stop destination for chocolate lovers.
i've never been to France but in my minds eye,
this is what a little chocolate bar in France would look like.
i bet you're already forgiving me for so many images. right?
next stop, High Museum
who's currently featuring the exhibit Picasso to Warhol
i kinda have a fear of heights.
walking up the plethora of floors via the open walkway
had me breaking out in a sweat. no lie.
madison found my fear quite humorous as she hung from the banister.
har har
i even asked a lady to walk on the outer side near the railing so i could be closer to the wall.
another true story.
we used our inside voices
& acted very mature
see dan peeking through us?
boys.
surely that was an acceptable selfie shot. am i correct?
let's hear it for museums that allow photographs.
then on to our favorite book store in decatur,
The Little Shop of Stories.
had to snatch up this super cute copy of pippi.
ended the day with some frozen yogurt
& called it a perfect day!
the end.
ps
madison's necklace is from our new spring line &
can be found here
We are excited to partner with African New Life in Rwanda
and their
tailoring program of women who proudly crafted these fun necklaces
(necklace is sold individually)

ReplyDeleteHi Paige!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a VERY fun day indeed! I think those kinds of birthday celebrations are the most memorable :) Caroline is just adorable! Does she give you any grief at all when you want to take photos? My daughter sighs and rolls her eyes - i tell her SOME day you will thank me for recording these events and moments; cue another eye roll! I know I am right though!
ok 2 things to note:
1. Madison could be a model so very pretty! Is is strange for me to think I would really like her?

Have a wonderful day!!

ReplyDeleteJust a thought, your blog is beautiful and so is your family and so are all of your friends, but I wonder, why is everything so "white"? Photo shoots of colored families or your daughters' colored friends? I'm not trying to be critical, I'm just interested.

Chinese cabbage salad is a favorite for me...I eat it weekly in summer. What an amazing museum. I would be afraid to walk up those banisters too. Your daughter looks just like you in these photos. Love her bright pink ballet flats and how they pop in all the photos.
ReplyDeleteI love that Caroline wanted to go to the High Museum. In other news...these may be some of my favorite pictures. Love the colors...and the expressions!
