saturday was such a fun day for us!
dan & i headed down the atlanta highway to athens.
it was savannah's AXO parent weekend, game day for the bulldogs
& homecoming at UGA.
it was the absolute quintessential college football game day in the south.
as we walked up to her sorority house,
the breeze was blowing
the sun was shining through golden trees
& leaves were falling.
the first couple we passed is pictured above.
are they just the cutest thing?
alumni cheerleaders!
they ended up cheering with a few others throughout the entire game,
down on the field with UGA cheerleaders.
we met savannah & got the official sorority house tour
& met many of her friends and their parents.
the game was big fun
the dawgs won
we had a wonderful dinner
& then spent some time in a great coffee house.
being there on game day was a first for me
&
i LOVED it!
it wore me out, but i loved it!
surrounded by a sea of red!
& i loved seeing savannah in her world!
~
had the honor of meeting sweet nicole.
it's a huge compliment that she is actually a reader.
this was her adorable response after being told she'd make the blog-what a riot!
all so fun and alive looking! I love the red boots too!

Ahhh, sweet wonderful college days. Brought back such fun memories. So glad to see that Savannah is enjoying her college life experience. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of red love there at Sanford stadium.
ReplyDeleteThe vintage cheerleading couple is absolutely wonderful. I love their enthusiasm and their wardrobe, reminds me of a Norman Rockwell painting.
Glad to hear it was a fun weekend. Who looked after the other kiddos? Darn it...wish I lived close by and auntie Susan would look after them.
LOVE these pictures...you're right, Saturday WAS the perfect fall football day!
ReplyDeleteIs there a more perfect college town? I THINK NOT.
Have I ever told you that Andy, my hubby, cheered at UGA? He was captain. :)

How cute is her friend with the gorgeous red hair sporting a red coat...I know so many people with re hair that think they can't wear red...I try to tell them all the time they're wrong...she looks fantastic! Way to rock the UGA red!
How fun! I love all your photos, Paige! I have never been to a college football game, it looks so fun! Savannah looks beautiful as always and so do you(you rock in those boots!)

ReplyDeleteNot to ruffle any Northern feathers but I have to say this. Just my opinion but there is nothing like football in the good ole South! I love the tailgating, the rivalries, the frat and sororities. I love the button downs, the polo shirts and the bow ties. I love the pretty dresses and the pretty girls who wear them. I love all the smells of a good tailgate party. I love that our conferences have teams who can beat each other on any given day. I love it all! Love that your sweet girl is having a great time!
ReplyDeleteFelt like I was there
ReplyDeletewith you and YES,
