Oooooh, tell me more!!
ReplyDeleteI've heard of sororities but don really know exactly what it means to be in one? What will it mean for Savannah?
And what is "rushing"? Something to do with the sorority again I m guessing? Do they choose you or do you choose them?
Would love to know :)
Beautiful photos Paigr, hope you are doing okay my friend xx
Oh Congratulations!! So exciting. Good for her!
ReplyDeleteI read this, and it brought me back to the absolute joy I felt when I became a Delta Zeta sister, my first choice. I am so happy for her.
ReplyDeleteI read your blog (and LOVE it!) all the time but have never commented ..
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for your daugther! My daughter (a Junior) got into her 1st sorority choice (Alpha Gamma Delta) at her university also! I held my breath for her through the whole process and through every phone call/text .. and was so excited for her! She loves those girls (I mean .. sisters!), that house, every single thing that wonderful group of girls represents! It has been nothing but a positive experience! Congratulations!!
hi paige,
ReplyDeletei've been reading your blog for what feels like forever, but this is my first comment. being a former sorority president (and rush chair), i had to reach out from the shadows to congratulate savannah (and you!). being in a sorority was truly one of the best experiences of my life. my very best friends today, 10 years after we all graduated from UVA, are still 6 of my pledge class sisters. savannah is in for the time of her life.
as the mom of an almost 4 year old little girl (and a 17 month old baby boy), i have read your going-away-to-college posts with tears in my eyes, thinking about when i will have to send my own firstborn off. it seems like forever away, but your blog has shown me that life passes in the blink of an eye...and to truly cherish each moment you have with them at home. i think that's why i'm only sending my little girl to preschool 3 days a week this coming year instead of 5. i'm not ready to let go just yet. ;)
all the best to you and your beautiful family!

That's wonderful that she was able to get her top choice. Congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteYay!! I've been reading your blog for a long while now, but haven't commented until today. I'm an AXO (from FSU, pledge class 1999) and have to agree that it is a wonderful sorority! AXO was my first choice, as well. This is just the beginning of a lifetime of memories for her!
ReplyDeleteYay!!! Congrats to Savannah! When we were dropping Powell off I saw girls participating in rush, and thought of your sweetie! Does that mean next semester she will move into the sorority??
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your daughter.
ReplyDeleteshe's gonna have so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm dying to know about her friend, Bailey...was she pledging?
Yay! So glad...and how fun for her & her roomie to be in the same house together...they're gonna have so much FUN!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad she got her first choice! That is exciting news. She looks adorable in all the photos!

ReplyDeleteSo excited for her! Her smile says it all..I'm sure you're one proud Momma. Hope the other girls are enjoying school so far as well.

I love your blog, but I've never commented. I felt the need to after today. I am an AXO alum ( U of CA, San Diego). It is a great sorority and she will make so many memories. Excited to have her as a sister! Stacie from Ohio
ReplyDeleteI am so excited to hear she is an AXO. May she have as much fun being an Alpha Chi as I did! Sending her awesome fun and wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteI was checking in everyday to see who she would pledge and I just had to jump up and down in my living room when I read the post. Being an AXO was one of the happiest times of my life. She will learn to be a strong and loving woman that can do anything in life! Not to mention the awesome friends she will make!
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!
