wish list from a graduating senior

the other morning i received an email from savannah,
who must have stumbled upon some free time of her own during school hours,
filled with her "wish list".
her email was titled a "small dose of me to brighten your day"
oh my...

so here it is
complete with her color commentary
of course

you can never have too many (says the watch)fluuzy...
not the self imposed title she used.thankyouverymuch)

2.my graduation party/ seaside photoshoot/ sorority rush dress
lilly pulitzer dress.
everybody wins.
am i right?

3.tory sandals so the seaside girls think i have more money than i actually do.

4.yet another addition to my gold collection,
to match michael, of kors ("of course"). har har

5.and yes, a little prom action for the oh so aforadable price of $3,000.
ie three semesters of sorority life.

now mind you....i have not ordered any of these

  1. so i'm sitting here thinking to myself, "savannah, the upcoming beautiful graduating senior", has remarkable taste! you can never ever have too many michael items, and certainly never to many lilly's dresses, and especially that one, the tory shoes well, they speak for themselves! and the prom dress, well you only have one senior prom! good luck savannah, i hope all your dreams & wishes come true!!!

  4. Awesome post Paige. This Senior stuff is sure bittersweet. I think my Savannah will have close to the same wish list as your Savannah when she gets there - however, Robert is much easier - some new rims for his truck and he is happy as can be :) The differences between a boy and girl. Enjoy all the "last" that are coming.

  5. Oh your sweet young lady sure has great taste! Can you put my name on that wish list too! A girl needs to dream, and who knows, her dreams may just all come true. Love those photos of her with the police car. There's a bit of irony there, right? Hee hee, I know there is. Your sweet girl just makes that car look good. Thanks for the info I requested ;-). Expect a little gifty in the mail soon! Have a fabulous rest of your weekend!

Well...let the festivities begin, huh...hard to believe, where does the time go??

  12. My daughter is a graduating senior too so I can relate to her 'wish list'. Next Saturday is her prom which we've already spent $100's on...thanks to Grandma for helping my Gracie get everything she wanted. Your Savannah is beautiful. Wishing her the best!

  14. Dearest Paige, I don't know why time goes by so quickly. It seems like yesterday that I was on road trips with Alexandra, looking at colleges, waiting by the mailbox waiting for her letters for said colleges, and wondering how we would present her "thick packet" from her first choice college.
Then came the mixed emotions. The complete joy, knowing that this young woman was on a journey she was supposed to be on. The heartache that I had to keep bottled up. My darling, my first born, my little one who had needed me to rub her arm as I snuggled with her each night was going off to college. Kenny, for the first time, somehow knew, he didn't try to fix it. When I fell apart, he just let me weep, and then I was fine.
But I will tell you this. She was fine. More than fine. She flourished. The joy in that was amazing. At almost 26 years old, she is still close with the original 8 girls/women she became close to her Freshman year. Oh, there are others, and they don't have the same relationship they did, but they are there for each other. I was lucky enough to get to know them through out the four years of college, and they are beautiful women.
Savannah has an amazing foundation. Be excited for her joy this year. Allow yourself to weep. You deserve that. And thank you for sharing your amazing family with us.
    xoxo
