i actually had a couple of you ask if i ever left Back in the Day Bakery!
ya'll are too funny.
well, i also barely left this next destination.
& to be honest, we just so happened to stumble upon this shop a second time.
serendipity, of course.
my favorite shop destination in savannah is The Paris Market.
& let me interject right here...thank goodness for a man
who always entertains himself and never taps my shoulder saying "is it time to go yet babe?".
truth be told, i always ask the girls, "where's dad? i'm ready to go".
i could have spent hours in here. come to think of it, i might have!
(told ya...park him by the books & i have endless opportunity to shop!)
if you go, make sure you order a strawberry mint water.
hello.
The Paris Market is now offcially my favorite store.
seriously.
even beats out my long time fave that starts with an A and rhymes with ecology.
gasp!
I would have to agree with you there. Looks just like what you would put in your home. I just love the way you capture your family. Not a bad picture in the bunch, of course there is not a bad looking one in the bunch either. Have a great day!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture looking through the open doorway. And that Metro sign...I wonder where that could go around here.
ReplyDeleteSavannah is one of the few places that isn't too far away...I definitely need to go back.
I love how Dan the man is flipping thru a magazine of ladies in vintage swimsuits.
ReplyDeletelove it;-0
You are just too cute for words (as is Caroline's yellow top). I love that your husband just goes with the flow. Glad you found your new happy place :)
ReplyDeleteok, maybe i would have left the cute bakery if i could have followed it up with that shop. lots of great eye candy. what did you come home with?
ReplyDeleteDrooling! Question? How do you restrain yourself from buying like everything in the whole store! I tell you, I got heart flutters just looking at the photos of this Paris Market. If actually there, I would have squealed like a school girl and wanted one of EVERYTHING! Then I'd get home and think to myself, "Now where is this all gonna go?" Sigh! I suppose that's the great thing about a camera. You get to snap a photo of and take all those little pretties with you and it doesn't cost you a dime. Yet another must-visit-shop when I go on a trip to Savannah!
ReplyDeleteI love The Paris Market too, but it's expensive enough that I don't buy much. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely shop. The mirror is beautiful. Hope you got souvenirs.
ReplyDeleteSavannah is on of our favorite cities to visit, so now you've given me two places to go I haven't been to before. Thanks for sharing.
Oooh la la!! Tres cool!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm -- am wondering if my sister and I can sneak away to Savannah when we are at Hilton Head this summer! Hope so! :)
Have a great Wednesday!
Janet
Ok...I see so many things I want to BUY! I LOVE each and every photo and will come back to pour over them some more. There are a few things that I might just ring them up and see if they'll ship to me! But my fave photo is the writer in the window shot with Madison's reflection (I think it is her) in the window!!! So clever!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good Spring Break filled with sweets and shopping!!!
ReplyDeletethat photo of the picture... strawberries and what not? i squealed when that popped up! SO want that on my wall.
ReplyDeleteloving on this post.

ReplyDeleteWill you pretty please adopt me?! You guys go to the most fabulous places! You must have been there for hours!
ReplyDeleteHow did you ever get out of there? That store would put some serious hurt on my bank account! ;) I absolutely love the first chandelier! Another reason why I need to visit some day!
ReplyDeleteXo,
Linsey
It's a small world after all. I also just happened to stumble upon The Paris Market this past Friday. I was in Savannah for just a day and was waiting for our reservation time at Paula Deen's restaurant (Lady & Sons) when I spotted their sign. Since I love all things French, I had to check it out. L O V E D that store... almost late for lunch because I didn't want to stop shopping! lol If I had seen you and your family there, I would have come up and introduced myself, especially since I feel like "old" friends from reading your beautiful blog.
ReplyDeleteColorful and fun!
ReplyDeleteso pretty, had to come and take another look. i wish i could visit there.

Am new to the blog world. Found you through one of my daughter's blog. I agree with you on the shop. I want one of everything? Could be a favorite, if I lived in that area. But, I am partial still to Anthropologie, as my daughter is an amazing manager of one. (Said as a proud Momma) Your family is beautiful. In reading your blog, you have been through such sorrows and joys, and I admire your faith, love and devotion to family, friends and life. Thanks for sharing, from a Midwest Mom.
ReplyDeletePaige, this store reminds me of Anthropologie. Only better! Someday, I would love to hear about your gift shop. I don't think that I ever told you that used to be a dream of mine.
ReplyDeleteWOW. I sooo want to visit that store!! Gorgeous! And your photos? Girl. To Die For! :)
ReplyDeleteOH Paige - I couldn't agree more......!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my all time favorite stores. Went to Savannah last summer and popped into this store for the first time - and it made me so sad that it was on the other side of the country than I am.
Your sweet photos whisked me right back!!
Loved them. xoxo
