Jackie

I love this little book. Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis is someone whose life fascinates me. Her love of art, literature , especially poetry was the inspiration for this little collection. Caroline Kennedy shares a glimpse into her mother's heart through some of Jackie's favorite poems.
One of my favorites...

Sea Joy
by Jacqueline Bouvier
When I go down by the sandy shore
I can think of nothing I want more
Than to live by the booming blue sea
As the seagulls flutter round about me
I can run about- when the tide is out
With the wind and the sand and the sea all about
And the seagulls are swirling and diving for fish
Oh~ to live by the sea is my only wish.

  1. Hi! I found your blog thru flickr and wanted to say that I love that poem as well. I have it written in my sketchbook. We live 3+ hours away from the ocean now (after growing up and living my whole life no more than 10 minutes away) and I miss it.
Your photos and your girls are lovely!
